Terms and refunds
These terms apply when you order a video from North Pole News TV. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to support@northpolenewstv.com before you order.
Who we are
North Pole News TV is a product of Nietsloh Technologies, a sole proprietorship based in Quebec, Canada (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@northpolenewstv.com. More help is on our support page.
What you are buying
A personalized, fictional Christmas parody video in the style of a TV news report, about 20 to 30 seconds long, made from the name, storyline, details and optional photo you give us. The video is produced with AI tools, so faces, voices, scenes and dialogue are generated. It is entertainment only. It is not news, not a statement by anyone shown in it, and not advice of any kind.
Price and payment
Prices are in US dollars. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
When you are charged
You pay the order total at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe through its Link checkout service, which also collects any sales tax, so your statement may show Link. Most videos are ready in about 10 minutes, and it can take a few hours when demand is high. If we cannot make your video, we refund you in full.
Delivery
Your video is made after checkout. Timing depends on demand and on the AI providers we use, so we do not promise a delivery time. We email you at each step, and your private order page shows progress and plays the video when it is ready.
Refunds and remakes
If your delivered video has a technical problem, such as the wrong name, a different storyline from the one you picked, missing or broken sound, or a file that will not play, write to us within 7 days of delivery. We will remake it at no cost or refund you in full, your choice.
Because each video is made to order, we do not refund a delivered video that works as described just because you changed your mind. This does not limit any right you have under the law where you live.
If we refuse an order under the content rules below, we refund you in full. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; most problems are fixed faster by email.
Content rules
Keep it harmless and fun. Do not use the service to harass, threaten, humiliate or discriminate against anyone, to make false claims about real wrongdoing, to impersonate a real broadcaster or brand, or to share someone’s private information. No sexual content, and nothing involving minors in a sexual or harmful way. Only upload a photo of someone if you have their permission. We may refuse or cancel an order that breaks these rules.
Using your video
You may watch, download and share your video for personal, non-commercial use. Keep the “fictional Christmas parody” label visible, and never present the video as real news or as a real statement by anyone in it. We do not use your video or photo in our marketing without your permission.
Branding removal
For $1.00 more you can order a video without the North Pole News TV name and logo. The “fictional Christmas parody” label stays on every video, with or without branding. Do not crop, cover or edit it out.
Friend discount
Share your personal link. When a different person opens it, you unlock 40% off one video. Opening your own link, or opening it from your own network or browser, does not count. Each link discounts one video, and each email address can use the friend discount once. The discount has no cash value. We may change or end the offer, and cancel discounts obtained through automated or fake visits.
How long we keep your video
We delete your video, your photo and the share link 7 days after delivery, or sooner if you delete them from your order page. Download your video if you want to keep it. Our privacy notice explains what we collect and why.
Share links
Share links are private links but not password-protected. Anyone who has the link can watch the video until it is deleted.
Our rights
The site, its design, the newsroom graphics and our software belong to us or our licensors. Your order gives you the right to use your video as described above, nothing more.
Responsibility
We work hard to deliver a good video, but AI-generated content can contain mistakes. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under consumer protection law, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act if it applies to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
